-Persistence and Passion-

Went for business breakthrough dinner tonight at the Ritz. Needless to say the ballroom was grand and everyone went in their Sunday best. There were even a few sisters who came in dresses a la Daniel Yam. Hm, almost everyone came in black too. Sorta passe to me but oh well it's not for me to comment. Je ne comprend pas. Was glad I wore my olive green cheongsam though some of my friends kept on teasing me: where's my chinese tea? Nearly wanted to strangle Alex for his suggestion for me to take a grand tour around the ballroom.

The food was mediocre at best considering it was the Ritz. Hm, I think either fine dining doesn't agree with me or we are simply too picky. The most welcomed dish for the night has to go to the panfried chicken breast. This was considering the smoke salmon was not that fresh and the brownie was too sweet for my liking.

Ah..but I differ. The Word was really a rhema word. Of course we would have heard before that persistence and passion are vital to success. But somehow when it comes from Dr A R Bernand, every single word he spoke oozed with wisdom. As we sat there listening, I'm sure many of us were impacted greatly by the Word. So it's time to inject these qualities into the workplace, school, relationships etc.

Of course what else would we end the night with but photo-taking? Took many photos with friends including even those I've not been keeping in touch with for some time. Even managed to cajole one of my friends into fulfilling his promise for a treat. Haha.. I seem like such a glutton.

I must say I enjoyed myself tonight tremendously. In the words of Pst Derek: the Word is definitely much better than the food tonight. So to those of you who have never been to a business breakthrough dinner before, do go for it. You will be blessed by the Word.
